how selfcare made me successful or: shifting the narrative around "selbst und ständig"
It's been exactly 6 months now that I decided to go fully #selfemployed. It was my biggest dream and my biggest fear at the same time. More or less by accident I handled my first two quarters significantly different. The first three months I barely made any money, I was anxious and uncertain and afraid. I didn't unterstand why until I set myself up for a challenge that I started in April and completely shapeshifted my life(style) and these are my biggest learnings:
1. create #dailytasks that make you feel good - for me that was drinking enough water and eating healthy balanced meals
2. create #dailyhabits that make you feel seen - for me that was journaling and talking to friends/family
3. create a #dailyroutine that make you feel focused - for me that was a dedicated workout routine and meditation
4. create #dailysteps that make you feel rich - for me that was hair care and getting nails done
5. create a #mindset that takes care of you - observing self talk, correcting repeated unproductive thoughts, working with affirmations

This sounds like a lot of work to you? That's because it is. And I am at least as surprised as you are that investing all this time to do these tasks actually gives you more time for the job you want to work in. The part of "self and constantly" in self-employment that's actually true is the continuous#confrontation with the self which is you. Caring for yourself isn't always fun, it's also not always feeling like actual care during the process, it takes loads of discipline to love yourself that deeply.
